US Art Supply Wood Table Box Easel Painting Set is a purrfect hobby set for kids or adults. This is the acrylic paint set (they have an oil or watercolor set too). The set comes with a nice wooden table-top easel that has a draw full of everything you need for a beginner artist. There are 12 tubes of acrylic paint, 4 brushes of different sizes, plastic pallet (for mixing colors), a pallet knife (also plastic), an HB pencil and three 9″ x 12″ canvas panels.
The easel folds down and the draw locks inside for a nice easy to carry kit with handle. I only wish there was a place to hold the canvases so it was all together in one package. The draw sticks a little and is very narrow. You’ll only ever be able to get those tiny tubes in there. Perhaps by the time you finish with this kit you’ll be ready to upgrade to a bigger art box (US Art Supply has a nice DELUXE easel/box too).
The canvas panels were a little warped, but they almost always are. That’s why we prefer stretched canvases, but these will be great to get started on.
If you know someone that is interested in starting to paint, this is a great beginner’s set for young or old.
