Lavien Leather LeashHuman2 got dis nice leather doggy leash to review fur all u puppers out der.

This leather leash is definitely made for medium to large dogs. The heavy hardware and thickness of the leather would make this too heavy and big for the little guys (maybe even some of the medium sized dogs be too small).

It appears to be made from a single piece of leather with the ends decoratively braided over themselves to make a strong connection for the hardware and the handle.

It is not supple (as stated on the manufacturers website and Amazon) but it isn’t hard either. With proper care and use this will soften up though.

It definitely has a very attractive look to it with the braided ends and embossed logo. It is dyed a nice dark brown (no the dye does not come of on your hands…at least it did not come off on Human2’s sweaty paws).

This is supposed to be a six foot long leash. It falls a little short at 70″ instead of 72″. It comes nicely packaged in a reusable mesh bag. I guess you could use the bag to carry balls or treats in while you walk or head out to the dog park.

Devoted Doggy Premium Quilted Back Seat Cover for PetsAs mentioned in my review of the Devoted Doggy Front Seat Cover, I don’t hab doggies, but this is such a nice cover that is easy to put on and take off that we r gonna probably use dis for fings other than just doggy transport.

We would hab lubbed to hab had dis Devoted Doggy Back Seat cover when we halped Jack get his new forever home. (You can see der we covered the back seat with an old (but comfy) flannel sheet.

The Devoted Doggy Back Seat cover can be used as a hammock as well by simply wrapping the attached straps around the front seat headrests. It is very easy to install and like the front seat cover there are no instructions to follow. The straps adjust easily for easy installation and removal (but we’re thinking of leaving it in the car). The waterproof, durable material helps protect your car seats from doggy nails and anything else you might be transporting.

Durable materials, quilted top, and quality stitching make this a great value.

There are velcro openings for easy access to the seat belts when a human needs to sit in the back with a pupper.

Once again there was the odd plastic smell (not a chemical smell, but plastic like a beach ball), which went away in a few days.

The seat area has a rubber backing to help keep the cover in place since unlike the front seat cover there are no straps to do so.

Devoted Doggy Premium Quilted Back Seat Cover for Pets Devoted Doggy Premium Quilted Back Seat Cover for Pets

Using the hammock feature will not only keep dog hair off your floor it will help protect the back of the front seats if your pup gets nosy and jumps up onto the backs of the seats while your driving. It also blocks the gap in between the front seats helping to keep fido in the back seat.

Disclaimer: My humanz gotted dis at a big discount so dat I could give my honest opinion about it. And as you all know, unlike dogs, kittehs opinions don’t sway just for treats. MOL

DYNAMITE PROUDLY ANNOUNCES THE FULL CREATIVE TEAM FOR OCTOBER’S GRUMPY CAT #1, UNVEILS COVER ARTWORK

July 8, 2015, Mt. Laurel, NJ: Dynamite Entertainment, following the wave of excitement generated from the May announcement of their upcoming Grumpy Cat comic book series, is pleased to announce the complete creative team for the upcoming first issue, scheduled for release in October. The series writers include Ben Fisher (Smuggling Spirits), Ben McCool (Captain America and the Korvac Saga), Royal McGraw (Detective Comics), and Elliott R. Serrano (Army of Darkness). The interior artists will be Ken Haeser (The Living Corpse) and Steve Uy (Avengers: The Initiative), who also contribute cover artwork alongside Rebekie Bennington (Doodle Jump), Agnes Garbowska (My Little Pony), and Tavis Maiden (The Konamis). Dynamite will also offer two special cover variants: a Blank Authentix edition, perfect for fans with artistic talent to personalize; and the first-ever “Create-Your-Own-Meme” edition that provide Grumpy Cat lovers an outlet for their own curmudgeonly witticisms.

Each of the contributing writers and artists has chimed in with their enthusiasm for the project:

Rebekie Bennington, artist: “When I first got the message about doing some art for Grumpy Cat, I didn’t know if I could handle the pressure of being judged by the grumpiest cat on the internet… but then I realized that my own general grumpiness made me a perfect fit!”

Ben Fisher, writer: “Grumpy Cat has managed to transcend from meme to globally recognized personality with astonishing speed. Nearly anyone with Internet access knows that face, across all ages and nationalities. It’s a huge honor to be given the opportunity to participate in her entrance into a new medium. Comic books are a natural fit for Grumpy Cat, along with her supporting cast of friends and family. I’m having a blast writing these great characters and developing their world. Also, Dynamite promised that if the books do well, they’ll let me pitch the Chocolate Rain graphic novel.”

Agnes Garbowska, artist: “I’m working on Grumpy Cat! I am so honoured that I can take part in capturing Grumpy Cat herself in comic book form. Currently, I am working on the covers for the comics. I wrapped up a cover for issue #1 and am working on a cover for the next issue. I am super excited to be a part of the Grumpy Cat team!”

Ken Haeser, artist: “I jumped at the chance to work on Grumpy Cat when Dynamite told me they were putting out a comic. How often do you get to work on something that is so universally known? Everyone knows Grumpy Cat! And hopefully it’ll bring in a lot of non-comic readers to check it out. All I know is that it is going to be a lot of fun!”

Tavis Maiden, artist: “This is literally the first thing I’ve worked on that my kids think is cool. When I was tasked with capturing Grumpy Cat’s likeness and personality for the covers, I was met with grueling deadlines, harsh criticism, and sweeping revisions… er, I mean, praise be to our Fluffy Overlord, may we never be good enough for her.”

Ben McCool, writer: “Like millions worldwide, I’ve had countless chuckles over the past few years thanks to Grumpy Cat. I was lucky enough to attend the miserable moggy’s official birthday party last year, and didn’t think I could possibly trump it in terms of cat-related coolness. Little did I know I’d find myself in a position to write stories about Grumpy (along with Pokey, her eternally optimistic, happy-go-lucky brother — shenanigans aplenty are an absolute guarantee)! I’m delighted to be part of such an exciting, fun-filled project, and can’t wait for you all to read the madcap misadventures of Grumpy Cat.”

Royal McGraw, writer: “Life isn’t always roses. Sometimes it’s the stuff you use to fertilize roses. Grumpy Cat has become an internet sensation because she’s not afraid to voice the grumpy truth… and look adorable doing it. Personally, I’m thrilled to help Dynamite Entertainment bring Grumpy Cat to a brand new medium!”

Elliott R. Serrano, writer: “I’m really excited to be a member of Team Grumpy Cat! Ever since she gained fame on the ‘internetz’, Grumpy Cat was destined to join the pantheon of animal personalities that have captured our imagination. Grumpy Cat gets to say the things that we all think, yet are too polite to say. When writing Grumpy Cat, I had to get in touch with that part of myself that’s not afraid to point out that while the cloud may have a silver lining, it’s still raining. Let’s face it, the reason we all love Grumpy Cat is because we each have a little Grumpy Cat inside of us.”

Steve Uy, artist: “Cat memes have become a part of American culture, and there doesn’t seem to be anything stopping it. One day, when it overcomes hot dogs and baseball, I’ll be able to tell my grandchildren that I was a part of the very first cat meme book with Grumpy Cat, and they will look upon me with awe and respect, and shower me with more love than I need. That is why I’m a part of this book.”

Grumpy Cat #1 will be solicited in Diamond Comic Distributors’ August Previews catalog, the premiere source of merchandise for the comic book specialty market, corresponding to items shipping in October 2015. Comic book fans are encouraged to reserve copies of Grumpy Cat with their local comic book retailers. Grumpy Cat will also be available for individual customer purchase through digital platforms courtesy of Comixology, Dynamite Digital, iVerse, and Dark Horse Digital.

Devoted Doggy Front Seat CoverI knows you knows we don’t hab doggies, but we like dogs and hab lots of furrends wif dem. We gotted da Devoted Doggy Premium Quilted Front Seat Cover for Pets for to review for you folks what do hab doggies (or even dirty humanz MOL).

Dis front seat cover purrfectly fit da front seat of Human2’s SX4.

Covers the whole front seat and even wraps around the bottom of the seat and secures with a quick-release buckle so the seat cover stays snug.

You can easily access the seat controls in the front and sides as well as the seat belt.

The strap that goes around the head rest adjusted easily to allow it to slip over the headrest and then tighten quickly to keep the cover snug against the seat back.

Durable materials and stitched well. We fink dis could hold up nicely pups wot go for rides in cars.

They advertise this as being easily installed in under 30 seconds. Well it took us longer than dat but not much. There are no instructions but it is easy (-ish) to figure out (especially once we figured out what to do with the strap that goes under the seat).

The only thing we did not like about this car seat was the strong plastic smell coming from it. Kind of like a beach ball smell but real strong. Luckily dat went away in 2 or 3 days. So we suggest airing it out before allowing pets to ride on it.

Fresh Paws Tear Stain RemoverOkie dokie here we go. I was contacted to do a giveaway and a review of this product which I have started, but honestly I cannot endorse this product at all.

So as of right, now the contest is over (sorry to anybody that did enter I do have a bottle I can send to a winner, but I honestly think you would prefer if I dispose of it).

I could understand the companies giving away product to help get a loyal user base. If the product was good. And perhaps it might be but we will never know for sure.

I was given a bottle to try, but my humans would not put this on any animal as there were NO (that’s right none, nada, zip, zilch) ingredients listed ANYWHERE! Not on their website (no real info period on their site just an email opt in so most likely this is all a ploy to gather pet peeps emails…just meowing).

I did get the product and I got it free as promised on said site. So that was good right?

I was hoping the images on Amazon.com were somehow simply missing the ingredients listing but once it arrive there was not a single ingredient listed any where! They claimed the product was all natural and pet safe, but could not / would not back that up by giving us a list of said ingredients.

So basically this reviewer says, bad product, bad company.

Without ingredients listed I wouldn’t use this in my house or on or around my animals and kids. Period.

Disclaimer: I received this product free through their website.

The old saying “fighting like cats and dogs” is so popular because it’s often an accurate description of a multi-animal household. While it’s also common for cats and dogs to get along and coexist peacefully, sometimes measures must be taken to keep your pets separate. There are many ways this can be done, so let’s explore some of the options for maintaining “dog only” and “cat only” zones in your home and yard.

Temporary Solutions

Putting your dogs or cats in crates/cages while the others are roaming free works, but it should not be relied on permanently. Some people lock their dogs or cats in designated rooms, which works, but isn’t the ideal way for pets to live. Baby gates can also be employed in the home, but they tend to be bothersome obstacles for people, and they can be knocked down by determined pets. In the yard, dogs can remain on leashes/chains, but this is not safe to do on a daily basis or without supervision. While these methods may work in the short-term, it’s preferable to find a long-term solution to the problem of separating pets.

Electronic Fences

Invisible Dog FencesAn electronic dog fence can be an excellent tool for maintaining personal zones for your cats and dogs. In the yard, invisible fences can be used to establish boundaries for your dogs, preventing them from chasing cats who are free to roam outside as they please. A DIY electric dog fence allows you to create a custom zone for your dogs that encompasses as much or as little of your property as you desire. A wireless dog fence is even easier to set up and begin using. For both wireless and wired systems, your dog will wear an e-collar that emits a warning tone when they are approaching their boundaries. If they get too close, a mild static shock will deter them from crossing the perimeter line.

There are also electronic fences for cats. Small e-collars with the mildest static shocks have been designed for cats, and these e-collars are compatible with several different types of invisible dog fences. With proper training, you can teach your cats to remain in their own designated zone away from your dogs. Even if separating your cats from dogs is not an issue, an electronic cat fence can be used to ensure your outdoor cats remain on your property. Oftentimes cats learn the invisible fence system and boundaries even quicker than dogs; although training can still take up to two weeks.

Indoor Pet Barriers

There are also pet barriers that are designed for use within the home. Electronic pet barriers are designed to fit within doorways and hallways without obstructing the path for humans. Your dogs or cats would wear e-collars to reinforce the boundaries they’d learn in training. This can make it easy to relegate your pets to certain sections of the home, without relying on crates, cages, leashes, or closed and locked doors. There are also other forms of indoor pet barriers, such as harmless-but-annoying deterrent sprays, some of which are motion-activated.

Choosing Containment Tools

Cat FencesIf you’re interested in purchasing tools for containing and separating your dogs and cats, be sure to do some diligent research on the many different products that are available. If you’re interested in an electric fence for dogs or cats, you’ll need to get a system that is adequate for the size of the area you want to enclose, as well as compatible e-collars that are appropriate for the size of your pets. For help navigating the many different choices that are on the market, dog electric fence reviews can be very useful. It’s also a good idea to peruse online reviews, blogs, and other forums in order to read more about the experiences of other cat and dogs owners who had the same separation needs and tried particular products.

No matter how you choose to separate your cats and dogs, patience, compassion, and training are essential for maintaining the peace and harmony in your home. Over time, most cats and dogs will learn to respect each other’s personal space, and any problems that occur during the adjustment phase will dissipate. Sometimes, however, certain dogs and cats will be simply unable to come to a mutual understanding. If prolonged aggression or territorial urges are threatening the safety of any of your animals, it may be necessary to consider rehoming one or more of the instigating parties. While it’s never easy to make that decision, the safety, well-being, and happiness of all of your animals will always be your priority.

Published in partnership with www.dogfencediy.com. We also encourage questions to help you understand if this type of dog fence is for you. Commenters and those who share the post in social media qualify for a drawing of a $25 Amazon gift card!
